ConceptWe are always looking to find new and exciting places to take our own children but, as Twickenham residents, we felt as though the area was sorely lacking a location which could provide a quality experience for both adult and child in equal measure. Thus, we came up with the concept of Cheeky Chops Play Café.
The concept is based around our three Core Beliefs: (i) A Quality Experience for the Whole Family We aim to achieve an equally positive experience for both the adult and child, with modern and challenging play facilities alongside high-quality food and drink. (ii) Community As Twickenham residents ourselves, we aim to create a centre in which the community of young families from the local area and beyond can come together in a safe, clean and friendly environment. (iii) Outstanding Customer Service Our aim to is to ensure that every customer has a positive experience from the moment they are greeted to the moment they leave. |
Who are we?
Mike is a former French and Spanish teacher who spent 12 years teaching at secondary schools in South-West London and Surrey as well as a year teaching Physical Education in Cape Town, South Africa and English in Mont-de-Marsan, South-West France. He is also a published children’s author and has written two books aimed at 2–6-year-olds: The Dove Who Learned How to Love and The Shark Who was Scared of the Dark.
Ruth spent five years as a recruitment consultant in The City as well as a year working for Maersk Oil in Copenhagen, Denmark. In 2015 she decided to change career completely and train as a yoga instructor, which she has been doing ever since.
Since the birth of our first child in 2016, we have discussed the concept of creating a provision in our local area which could offer an equally positive experience for both adult and child and, when our second child arrived in 2019, we decided to put theory into practice and create Cheeky Chops Play Café.
We hope you enjoy your experience with us and please do not hesitate to speak to a member of staff or contact us with any feedback that you have.
